National Professional Solutions (NPS), a division of National Networks Plus (NNP), is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our growing team. NPS specializes in providing a workforce to the Health and Community Care sector, and we are expanding our clinical services to NDIS participants aged 7-65.
As a Proficient Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients across early intervention, school age, adolescent, and adult services. The role involves working with individuals who have various diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, Mental health and psychosocial diagnosis, and other complex needs.
You will play a key role in supporting the personal growth and development of your clients, working collaboratively with allied health professionals, support workers, and families to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing and observing participants' challenging behaviours.
- Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments.
- Developing strategies to increase skills, improve emotion regulation, and introduce replacement behaviours.
- Reducing the use of restrictive practices.
- Working in alignment with Behaviour Support Rules (2018) and NDIS restrictive practice guidelines.
- Working closely with clients to help them achieve their personal goals and celebrate their progress.
- Collaborating with other health professionals, support workers, and families to implement effective support plans.

Requirements:
- Qualifications in Psychology, Counselling, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, or similar fields (e.g., Social Work, Social Sciences, Education).
- NDIS Registration as a Proficient Behaviour Practitioner (desirable).
- Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, mental health or other complex diagnoses (desirable).
- Good report writing skills.
- A valid driver’s license and car.
- National Police Clearance, Working with Children/Working with Vulnerable People Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain them).
